Spread or Point: Not a Sports Reference

They’re two of the many options of shirt collar styles. During this wedding adventure, there have been so many decisions, but I had not the slightest idea that there were multiple shirt collars to choose from. I seriously thought my dad was referring to a ball game.  #themoreyouknow

My personal preference is the “point” style for more formal occasions…

The “spread” is also a solid option, too, though!

In other news…only 24 days till we get hitched! It has flown by faster than I could have imagined, but we are so excited for the start of our lives together. This weekend, we head up to NC for a couple of wedding-related gatherings and I am excited about meeting Nate’s close family friends & relatives. Fun times, for sure!

Hope yall are enjoying the beautiful spring weather that has finally arrived!

CH-CH-CH-CHAAANGES…

So, so much has happened since I last posted! Most of you know, but I recently started a new job in Atlanta working with USTA Southern, the regional office of that oversees nine states throughout the southeast. I started in early February, after SNOWPOCALYPSE shut down the city…which I am HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY about!

I started in early February, so it’s been QUITE the whirlwind with “moving”, starting a new job, packing, and last but not least, planning the wedding with Nate! It was such a huge decision, but we are so blessed and happy that this great opportunity was put out there for us both. Atlanta has so many things to offer, and we can’t wait to dive into it!  My Aunt Janet (mom’s sister) and her family have been wonderful in opening their home to me–allowing me to stay here until we find a place that we love.  It’s been fun living with some family again after flying solo for so long.

On Nate’s first trip to Hotlanta, the agenda includes apartment shopping. Where to live, where to live in this big ‘ol city? We will let ya know soon enough!

Hope all’s well with all y’all. xoxo

Yeah, it’s been a while..

It’s been 182 days (give or take a couple)since I’ve posted.  New year, and I pretty much totally forgot about this whole “blogging” thing.  Just a few things have happened since…

Lauren & Wes’ Wedding (referenced in last post): July 2013.  It was awesome, and was a wonderful celebration of two friends I hold near and dear.  Lauren, who I’ve known since about 2009, was a beautiful bride and her groom, Wes, was so handsome and happy! I was so thrilled and blessed that they asked me to be a part of their special day.  Their wedding was held in the historic USC Horseshoe in Rutledge Chapel, and reception just across the way at the McCutcheon House.  There may or may not have been a few moments of panic when an important door was locked–thankful for a very responsive USC PD, haha.  Here are a couple of pictures from the day:

Lauren & Caleb’s Engagement Party: also July 2013

So many exciting & fun festivities! Their engagement party was held at a clubhouse of a local pool and was so much fun.   It was great seeing the extended families and friends mingle and celebrate the wonderful couple.

We also had a few other things…our engagement party, trip to NYC, a couple of Carolina Football seasons (garnet or carolina blue, depending on which state you’re in), and we’ve officially entered the wedding year!!   New Year’s resolution: 1 blog post a week. Squeaked today’s in.
